Stéphane Pompougnac is a French DJ, producer and music curator whose work helped define the French Lounge sound and its international reach. As resident DJ and musical curator of Hôtel Costes in Paris, he created a musical identity that became closely associated with the hotel and its internationally recognised compilation series.

Hôtel Costes
The first Hôtel Costes compilation was released in 1999. Across fifteen volumes, Stéphane Pompougnac curated house, downtempo, soul, jazz, Latin, dub and electronic music into a signature sound. The series sold more than seven million physical copies worldwide. Together with his own releases, this catalogue has generated more than 800 million cumulative streams.

Stéphane remains a dancefloor-driven international DJ whose sets move from French Lounge and downtempo to Organic House, Deep House, Tech House and Progressive House. He has performed in more than forty countries.
